Will FreeTimeline always be free?
Yes. The Universe Timeline and Biography Timeline you use today are committed to remaining free for personal use. We will not move existing functionality behind a paywall.
If we ever add a paid tier, it will cover new capabilities. The core, local-storage tools will keep working exactly as they do now.
Why are there ads on a privacy-first site?
Ads pay for the domain, hosting, and continued development — without them we would have to charge subscriptions or shut down. We chose advertising precisely so that everyone can use FreeTimeline without an account or a payment method.
Because your timeline data lives only in your browser's localStorage and never reaches our servers, advertisers cannot target you based on the contents of your timelines. EU/EEA/UK visitors must consent before personalised ads are shown — see our Cookie Policy for details.
Do you accept donations or sponsorships?
Not at the moment. The most useful thing you can do is share FreeTimeline with friends, writing communities, journal-keepers, and tabletop game masters who might enjoy it.

Can businesses, schools, or libraries use FreeTimeline?
Yes — the free tools may be used in classrooms, libraries, and small teams within the limits of our Terms of Service. Because no data leaves the browser, you do not need to sign a Data Processing Agreement with us simply to use the tool.

How do you make money if there is no subscription?
Today, all revenue comes from a single source: Google AdSense. The full list of third-party processors and what they do is published in our Privacy Policy.
